Hello

I am currently an EMT-Basic in San Diego County looking to go to paramedic school. I have been a registered EMT since October of 2007 finishing EMT school in August and passing the NREMT in September. I intend on using this blog for a few things, one to give me a place to vent about some of the things I see on a regular basis that frustrate me about my job, two to post updates on medic school both on the process of applying and about my time there, and three to just write some humorous anecdotes.

Anyone who knows me knows I am nice to a fault and will bend over backwards to help someone, while some of the things I may write on here will seem cynical or mean just know that I always have the best interest of my patients at heart. I feel the EMS system is abused and especially my job as an EMT-Basic with a private company in San Diego. I intend to use this blog to shed light on our situation in hopes of rallying support for maybe one day changing it (a guy can hope right?)

As is my duty I will always protect the rights of my patients to privacy and will change all information as needed to do so. Also this site is not endorsed by the company I work for or the County of San Diego.
